Rasmus Canbäck, an investigative journalist for the Swedish online news site Blankspot who has just published a new book on his coverage of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He joined us to discuss ethical journalism under fire amid Azerbaijani pressure, propaganda tours, and caviar diplomacy. He says that by attacking journalists, Azerbaijan attempts to squash independent coverage of stories like Nagorno-Karabakh, and cautions against reporters falling into the trap of “bothsidesism.”
