Turkey ‘hopes for’ Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization soon, says Erdoğan

  • Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed hope that Armenia and Azerbaijan will sign a normalization agreement by the end of the year.  
  • Dozens of Nagonro-Karabakh Armenians protested in Yerevan asking for the government’s help repatriating the bodies of soldiers killed in Azerbaijan’s attack last September. 
  • Armenia’s Investigative Committee alleges that former Artsakh official Sargis Galstyan began spying for Azerbaijan after the end of the 2020 war. 
  • Former Nagorno-Karabakh resident Rashid Beglaryan, who was taken prisoner by Azerbaijan last August, was sentenced by a Baku court to 15 years in prison.
