- Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan confirmed plans to organize a protest in Yerevan later this month after a lengthy hiatus. In addition, Galstanyan revealed he held talks with Armenia’s former presidents, who lead the opposition to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
- Pashinyan claimed his government is not obliged to give Russian border guards control of a future transit route connecting mainland Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan through Armenia. Moscow slammed what it called Pashinyan’s “irresponsible” behavior.
- A group of political parties launched a signature-gathering campaign in an effort to force a referendum on Armenia joining the EU. Under Armenian law, any petition that gets at least 50,000 signatures must be debated in parliament. Campaigners have 60 days.
