As United World Colleges Dilijan marks its 10-year anniversary next month, community members and educators across Armenia are hailing what they call the school’s transformational impact both on the country’s educational system and on the now-flourishing resort town the school calls home.
CivilNet travels to Dilijan to speak with school leaders and community members about what UWC Dilijan, founded by entrepreneur and philanthropist Ruben Vardanyan and his wife, Veronika Zonabend, means to them. Despite the fact that Vardanyan is now being held in prison in Azerbaijan, the school continues to change lives.
